Thank you for spending another year with Cat and Mouse Studio! I hope your holiday season was a perfect mix of joyful and restful. I wanted to share some fun stats and news from this past year of designing websites.

Lots of brand new websites! It's exciting to be part of someone's decision to finally take their business to the next level with a website. Not too many migrations, but I have a few lined up for later this month.

During one project with an Italian client, we used a mix of our limited language knowledge and Google Translate to communicate - and it worked! I'm amazed and blessed that technology allows me work with people all over the world, regardless of timezone or language.

☀️ Sunshine Spotlight ☀️

I have some really amazing news. In February, I designed a website for client, Steve, to help him find a kidney donor. I'm ecstatic to say that he received his new kidney in October and it started functioning in November! 🙌 I'm so grateful I was able to be part of his journey.

2023 Trends

Farm websites: 12%
Teaching websites: 28%

A surprising number of farm websites! It was fun to help farm owners with their websites and let them get back to being outside and caring for their animals. I also worked with a high number of teachers, including a French tutor, a history professor, various coaches, and a violin instructor.

New in 2023

Never done before: Making YouTube videos
​I had a lot of fun helping a family member with their YouTube channel (complete with editing, intro/outro, and thumbnails!).​
New focus: LinkedIn
​Even though I've had LinkedIn for a while, I've only recently started connecting with clients and like-minded business ladies and have really enjoyed it. Feel free to add me!​
New skill: Tally Forms
​I've become obsessed with Tally Forms (so much so that my husband teases me for it). There's a bit of a learning curve, but once you get it down, the level of functionality in these forms is awesome. I even submitted my own template! 😊
